Her Story

Music has been a very powerful part of her life and shaped who she is today. As a child, Dr. Tarina's family emigrated from South Korea in the early 90s. As a shy 12-year-old, music was able to break her out of her shell amidst the chaos of a new environment, culture, and language. While she struggled adjusting to English and making friends, music gave Dr. Tarina an outlet to express herself and subsequently to speak.

Music has empowered Dr. Tarina to dream big, pursue things with confidence, and succeed in life. With this, she completed her doctorate degree in music, performed on prestigious concert stages throughout the world, and interviewed on magazines, radio stations, and TV programs.

In 2000, Dr. Tarina opened her own piano studio with the dream to share the magic of music with others. Her students have gone on to perform in music festivals, earn high ratings in competitions, and be accepted as music majors in some of the most competitive music colleges and universities. Wanting to share the joy of music beyond just piano, MozArt Music Academy was born. 

Opened in 2018, MozArt Music Academy offers a variety of musical lessons with our community. The result of years of preparation, Dr. Tarina sought out the most qualified musical instructors with the right passion and kind hearts. She personally played and tested every instrument to see what would best serve our students. As a result, MozArt Music Academy is proud to offer the most comprehensive music program to all ages and all levels in a professional, nurturing environment.
