What is the right age to begin taking music instructions?

For one-on-one music lessons, starting age varies according to each child’s readiness. Children usually begin music lessons at the age of 5 since anyone younger may feel overwhelmed and frustrated. 


How is studying at MozArt Music Academy different from in-home lessons?

There are many benefits of studying at a highly qualified music school. Here is a list of just a few advantages:

  • DISTRACTION-FREE: Our professional environment helps students to fully focus on their musical learning since there are no distractions we often encounter at home such as phone ringing, TV, pets, cooking smells, siblings interruptions

  • MOTIVATING PROGRAMS: Our students are continuously motivated and challenged since we offer annual recitals, various performing opportunities, and exam/competition preparations.

  • INSPIRING PEERS: When students come for their weekly lessons, they are exposed to other peers of various levels and ages. Seeing and hearing other students inspire them to strive for their full potential.

  • CONVENIENCE: Our MozArt parents love the convenience of signing up more than one family member for lessons at the same time, even if they are different instrument. This saves their driving time and gas money. 

 

I am an adult. Can I still take lessons at MozArt?

Of course! It’s never too late to learn even if you’ve never had any music instruction before. In fact, a study shows that adults (age 60 to 85 with no prior musical experience) showed improvement in processing speed and memory just after 3 months of weekly piano lessons. Just let us know what instrument you are interested in learning and we can schedule you from the widest lesson times available.

What styles of music do you teach?

We teach a variety of styles and genres including rock, pop, jazz, country, blues and classical. Our goal is to meet your needs so let us know what you are looking for.

Are your instructors qualified?

All of our music instructors are highly qualified with vast experience in teaching and performing. We study videos of their teaching and performing, review their references, conduct multiple interviews, and do background checks so that every MozArt student can enjoy making music right from the start.

 

I don’t have any musical background. Can I still help my child practice?

Yes. Our teacher can give you advice on how to help your child practice. Also, we have open door policy so you cans sit in on lessons to gain ideas and tips. 

 

How do I get started?

Simply call us at (818)960-3396 and let us know what instrument you are interested in and your preferred time. We are open 6 days a week, 10:00am - 8:00pm (Monday- Friday) and 9:00am – 4:00pm on Saturdays.
